Ingredients:
- 2 slices of Nature’s Dream Brown or White Bread
- 1 canned tuna, drained
- ½ red onion, diced
- 50g cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp butter, softened
- 1 tsp cooking oil
- salt and pepper, to taste
Method:
- In a bowl, mix the tuna with onion and cheddar cheese. Add the mayonnaise, lemon juice and salt and pepper.
- Sandwich the filling between the two slices of bread, then butter the outsides of the sandwich.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan over a low heat. Add the sandwich and use a spatula to press the sandwich. Fry for 4–5 minutes, or until the bottom is crisp and golden and the filling is starting to melt.
- Flip and repeat to cook the other side. Serve immediately.
